Hypercharger
Description
Alpitronic Hypercharger
This DDF enables the integration of Alpitronic Hyperchargers from the HYC50, HYC200 and HYC400 series into the E-Mobility system.
The Hyperchargers are powerful DC fast-charging stations for electric vehicles. Their modular power electronics enable flexible distribution of the available charging power across multiple vehicles. Depending on the model, charging standards such as CCS2 and CHAdeMO are supported.
Requirements
The following requirements must be met to use this DDF:
- a compatible Alpitronic Hypercharger from the HYC50, HYC200 or HYC400 series
- a functioning connection between the charging station and the E-Mobility system
- a properly configured charging station
Usage
After successful setup, the Hypercharger can be monitored and controlled via the DDF.
- Dynamic power distribution: The total available charging power can be controlled via POWER_ALL. When multiple vehicles are connected, the power is distributed using the Hypercharger's Fair-Share Power distribution.
- Control of individual charging points: Individual charging points can be controlled separately via the CP_1 to CP_n parameters.
- Vehicle status: The DDF detects whether a vehicle is connected to a charging point.
- Charging power: The charging power can be specified for individual charging points or for the entire charging station.
Configuration
The charging power can be specified either for the entire charging station or for individual charging points:
| Parameter | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|
| POWER_ALL | Controls the total charging power specified for the charging station. When multiple vehicles are connected, the available power is distributed using the Hypercharger's Fair-Share Power distribution. | 100 kW |
| CP_1 - CP_n | Controls the charging power of an individual charging point. The number of available charging points depends on the respective Hypercharger configuration. | 50 kW |
Important Notes
Starting and stopping the charging process is not supported by the charging station.
The minimum charging power is 1.5 kW. This minimum value ensures that an active charging session is not unintentionally interrupted by setting the power too low.
